Reflections

On the way from Church services this morning, my DH and I stopped to drop my Mother-in-law off at her home. I gave my father-in-law a big hug and told him Happy Fathers Day. As I pulled away, I realized that I had tears in my eyes. The truth is, as I was hugging my FIL, I began to think how wonderful it would be to be able to hug my own father and wish him the same thing. I cannot embrace him in the flesh, but I can embrace his precious memory and know that through the promise of God, I will embrace him again someday on the stairs of Heaven.

Happy Fathers Day, Dad! I am looking forward to the hug!

I know what you mean, Carla, I teared up as I am reading this and updated my blog! I am so glad Mine got back into church after Many Years away and I am glad that I was a part of it! It is so hard to witness to Family but rewarding when prayers are answered!
I love my FIL but didn't get to see him today... I owe him a hug!
